This is the correct logo of Genuine Ilocano Brotherhood and Auxiliary Sorority Philippines according to one of the five founding founders, Bagis Carmelo Aguda. He explained that the characters in the center of the Logo are letter G and I derived from the ancient Philippine Alphabet, the Alibata/Baybayin used in The Code of Kalantiaw.  This explanation was made by Founder Carmelo Aguda on the First ever National Convention of GI held at Vigan City, Ilocos Sur which was hosted by Genuine Ilocano University of Northern Philippines Chapter headed by then Barangay Captain Joey Henson V. Briones. The said Convention was attended by different chapters of Genuine Ilocano.
